Since August 2001 NiKem Research has been operating in the same facility previously occupied by the Discovery Research Unit of SmithKline Beecham (SB).
In October 2003, we created a large 240 m2 chemistry automation laboratory dedicated to high throughput automated synthesis and advanced combinatorial chemistry.

Overall, the laboratories possess around 71 fumehoods, of which 60 are located in the synthetic/medicinal chemistry area, 3 in the analytical chemistry/bioanalytical area and 8 in the biology area. Moreover, the laboratories possess 11 LEV (local enclosure ventilation) systems used for hydrogenation, parallel purification and microwave chemistry.
