Quality at Highly Competitive
Prices

  • Medicinal chemistry-based projects require some key activities and a number of routine chemistry operations. The former require the attention of skilled and seasoned NiKem Research personnel, while the latter can be executed by less experienced chemists from lower cost providers.

  • We believe that our expertise in data analysis, compound design, non-routine chemistry, our extensive ADMET/PK, in vitro pharmacology and programme management can, with the right project, be complemented by support from lower cost synthetic chemistry providers.

Partnering with NiKem Research

Business Model: Our Hybrid Model

Success depends on choosing the best resources

NiKem spent four years evaluating more than a dozen of low cost providers, and has worked with at least six of them in order to select reliable partners for “hybrid” model collaborations with clients. We have identified two preferred partners from India who have repeatedly worked with us for clients on integrated drug discovery programmes, and who guarantee good team attitude, reliability, chemical knowledge and FTE availability.

Within the hybrid model, our clients will only interact with NiKem, while we are fully accountable for coordinating the project activities and for QC of final products. All confidential information will be retained in NiKem.

We suggest the hybrid model for collaborations where many routine chemical operations are expected, e.g. the synthesis of intermediates for compound arrays using standard synthetic routes. The client can expect slightly delayed results compared with a “NiKem only” model, but at a reduced cost.
