Nikem Research understands the different needs and budgetary capacities of pharmaceutical and biotech companies requiring high quality drug discovery services. NiKem focuses on customer-tailored solutions for drug discovery and we are proud to be capable of offering a suitable business arrangement for each customer.
The first is the NiKem Only Model, and you can learn more to the right.
The second is a Hybrid Model, in which NiKem itself outsources common, labor-intensive chemistry to its prefered partners and passes the savings on to the client. Learn more about the Hybrid Model here »

Our services include medicinal, analytical and computational chemistry; biochemical and early ADMET in vitro profiling; bioanalytics and in vivo PK characterization. A client may choose either to use the whole integrated drug discovery platform at NiKem, or to ask for one or more of the above mentioned modules. NiKem ensures full integration with the client’s team, with frequent informal and formal feedback. We provide dedication, a proactive problem solving attitude, and openness: Our customer’s needs and goals become our own, and we do not accept any failure in delivering.
We usually work on a fee for service basis, and we do not ask for further milestone payments and royalties. FTE-based prices are usually adopted for projects including medicinal chemistry, and count only the number of deployed medicinal chemists for a lead generation or for a multi-parametric lead optimization project. A base FTE price is applied when only medicinal and analytical chemistry services are requested, while the FTE price is increased accordingly when computational chemistry, biochemical profiling, early ADMET-PK characterization, or multiple additional modules are requested.
Project-based prices are also considered, especially for chemistry-focused projects with well defined deliverables and timelines.
Assay-based prices are usually adopted for standalone early ADMET profiling and PK characterization, whose prices are reported in our EXPLORA ADMET/PK brochure.
